House fire in Keaau causes minor damage
Hawaii County fire fighters had to cut through a chain link fence to combat a house fire Wednesday night in Keaau, which mainly damaged a patio.
The fire at a home in the Keaau agriculture lots subdivision was reported at 8:53 p.m. and extinguished less than 15 minutes later.
Damage, which was confined to the patio, was estimated at $30,000.
The cause of the fire at one-bedroom home is under investigation.
