Arise, a women’s ministry at Inspire Church in Waikele, is organizing a series of conferences with talks focused on empowering women.
The series will be hosted by Inspire Church’s pastor Lisa Kai, and the speakers include Andi Andrew of Liberty Church of New York, Wendy Perez of The Church at South Last Vegas and Leigh Ramsay of Citipointe Church in Australia.
The talks will get underway Feb. 8 and wrap up Feb. 13 at Inspire Church in Waikele Shopping Center (near UFC Gym), 95-061 Waimakua Drive. The cost is $85 for individuals or $60 per person for groups of 10 and more. Child care will be available for $25 per child.
Some 1,500 attendees have registered for the conferences, which will feature a theme of "freedom" and center around "empowering women to rise up and take hold of the calling God has on their lives." In addition, speakers will address faith-related ideas tied to "finding freedom from hurts, fears and setbacks," according to a news release.

Kai and her husband, pastor Mike Kai, started Hope Chapel West Oahu in 2001, beginning with 40 people. They renamed it Inspire Church and expanded to three locations, according to a news release.
More than 3,000 church members attend weekly services. Lisa Kai is "pioneering a way for women to rise in every sphere of influence and to empower the church to reach beyond it walls to engage the community," the news release said.
