Surf highs at The Pipeline on the north shore of Oahu reached 10 to 15 feet on Friday.

A 25-year-old surfer was left in critical condition following an apparent near-drowning incident near Ehukai Beach Park on Monday afternoon.

According to an Emergency Medical Services report, the man was found unresponsive in waters at the Pipeline surf break at about 2:20 p.m. and was brought to shore by lifeguards on a jet ski with the assistance of others surfers in the area.

Lifeguards performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the man until paramedics arrived at the beach on Oahu’s North Shore. The man was transported to an area hospital.
