The University of Hawaii football team has secured a commitment from a 6-foot-8, 312-pound offensive lineman from Dallas.

Austin Webb, a senior at Highland Park High School, told the Honolulu Star-Advertiser he accepted a scholarship offer and will sign a letter of intent on Wednesday, the first day football prospects may put their commitments in writing.

Webb is projected to compete at offensive tackle.

“I like the coaching staff and it’s a great place to live, obviously,” Webb said.

Webb also competes in the shot put and discus for Highland’s track and field team.
