The publisher of the Hawaiian Telcom Yellow Pages is encouraging Oahu residents to drop off their old telephone books at local malls this month.

The Berry Co. says phone books will be collected at Kahala Mall, Windward Mall and Waikele Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. over the next three weekends.

West Oahu Aggregate will take the outdated directories to the H-POWER plant at Campbell Industrial Park. The plant will burn the books in furnaces that generate electricity for Hawaiian Electric.

More information about drop-off locations and the collection program may be found at ThinkYellowGoGreen.com.
