Hawaii guard Shawna-Lei Kuehu (21) drives to the basket during the first half of a women's college basketball game between the Hawaii Rainbow Wahine and the Cal Poly Mustangs on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.

Senior guard Shawna-Lei Kuehu scored 17 points to lead Hawaii to its ninth consecutive win Saturday, a 54-43 defeat of Cal State Fullerton in a Big West women’s basketball game at Fullerton, Calif.

The Rainbow Wahine (17-7, 9-2) scored 18 points off turnovers and held the Titans to just eight 3-point attempts, 15 below their conference-leading average. The 43 points tied the low for a Big West opponent this season, matching UC Santa Barbara’s output in a 60-43 loss on Feb. 2.

Senior guard Ashleight Karaitiana added nine points for Hawaii, which is off to its best conference start since opening 10-2 in 2000-01 under Vince Goo. The Rainbow Wahine next host UC Irvine Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center.
