Woman bullied, robbed in Makiki home
Honolulu police are looking for two men who allegedly robbed a 25-year-old woman in her Makiki home early Wednesday morning.
Police said the men entered the woman’s home at 5:05 a.m. and allegedly threatened her with a dangerous instrument. They then stole the woman’s personal items and fled, police said.
Lost hiker airlifted from Pupukea trail
After hiking for nearly four hours Wednesday morning, a 32-year-old man called the Honolulu Fire Department saying he was lost on the West Kaunala Trail in Pupukea.
The hiker called for help on his cellphone at 9:47 a.m. and was airlifted by the fire department’s helicopter at 10:20 a.m. to the Sunset Beach fire station. He was not injured.

Officers bitten, spat upon in scuffle
A 25-year-old woman was charged Tuesday with assaulting a law enforcement officer in Waikiki on Monday night.
Police said the woman allegedly bit a 29-year-old female officer and then allegedly spat on another officer while they were trying to subdue her.
The assault occurred 9:45 p.m. Monday, police said.
Brittanie Richardson was charged with assault on a law enforcement officer, harassment and disorderly conduct. Her bail was set at $11,000.

40 customers on Big Isle still without power
Hawaii Electric Light Co. crews were working to restore power Wednesday to the last 40 Puna customers who have been without electricity since Friday’s stormy weather.
On Tuesday, crews restored electrical service to 260 customers in Nanawale, Leilani Estates and a few pocket outages in the Puna area.
Wind gusts of up to 50 mph buffeted Hawaii island beginning Friday, causing outages and disrupting power for 17,000 customers around the island.
The winds toppled trees, blocked roadways, and damaged utility poles and wires. Crews from Hilo, Kona and Waimea have been working to restore power since Friday evening.
