A 16-year-old girl faces a possible felony domestic abuse charge after she allegedly attacked a 41-year-old woman in the presence of the victim’s two grandsons.

Police said the incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Kalihi.

The suspect also allegedly attacked the woman’s 24-year-old daughter.

Until 2013, domestic abuse in the presence of a child under 14 was a misdemeanor, punishable by up to one year in jail or two years of probation. It is now a Class C felony,  punishable by up to five years in prison.
