Police arrested a 35-year-old man for allegedly punching a woman in the face several times.
Initially, officers arrested the suspect at his Kalihi home at 8:30 a.m. Sunday for misdemeanor abuse, but because of the severity of the 39-year-old victim’s facial injuries, the case was reclassified as a felony.
Police said the incident happened at about midnight.
