Hawaii sweeps Hope International in volleyball
Senior hitter Scott Hartley put down eight kills and the No. 4 Hawaii men’s volleyball team won its ninth straight, sweeping Hope International of the NAIA 25-15, 25-14, 25-14 Friday night at the Stan Sheriff Center.
The Rainbow Warriors (16-3) hit a season-high .474 against the Royals (11-10).
Senior opposite Brook Sedore had one of Hawaii’s three aces, moving him into a tie for third in the program all-time with Delano Thomas at 108.
The Rainbow Warriors outblocked the Royals 14-2.5, with sophomore middle Zach Radner in on five and senior middle Taylor Averill four. Fifteen Hawaii players saw playing time.
The teams meet again Saturday at 7 p.m.
