A high-surf advisory is in effect for the north shores of Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Maui and the Big Island through 6 a.m. Sunday.

Forecasters predict surf of 10 to 15 feet in the affected areas due to a north-northwest swell.

Impacts could include strong breaking waves, shore break, and strong longshore and rip currents that could make swimming difficult.
