Missing hunters walk out on their own
A pig hunting party, including a 7-year-old girl, spent the night in the forest and walked out of Halawa Valley early Thursday morning without help of the Honolulu Fire Department.
A 27-year-old man and two teenage boys, ages17 and 13, and the girl were reported missing at 1 a.m. Thursday by the girl’s mother, when they failed to return from a hunting trip.
A Fire Department spokesman said they walked out of Halawa Valley at 4 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
