Senior opposite Brook Sedore and junior hitter Siki Zarkovic each put down 10 kills and No. 1 Hawaii moved closer to clinching the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation regular-season title in men’s volleyball with a 25-13, 25-18, 25-18 sweep of No. 12 UCLA Tuesday night in Los Angeles.

It was the 14th consecutive victory for the Rainbow Warriors (21-3, 16-2), the longest winning streak since the 2006 team won 19 in a row.  It was the first time since 2003 that Hawaii had swept the series against UCLA in Westwood.

The Rainbow Warriors outblocked the Bruins (11-11, 7-11) 12.5-2 with senior middle David Hotl in on nine, and Sedore and Zarkovic each in on five.

Senior middle Taylor Averill added eight kills with no errors. The Rainbow Warriors had a total of five hitting errors for the night, four by Sedore and one by sophomore hitter Kupono Fey, when hitting .465, a season-high in conference play.

Jake Arnitz led UCLA with seven kills.
