Dress in your Mardi Gras best and devour them all at Twilight on the Harbor III, Ka Mamalahoe Canoe Club’s Project Lu‘ukia fundraiser, 5:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Harbor View Center.
Proceeds will fund the club’s first koa canoe, to be named for the mythological chiefess Luukia.

Go foraging in urban ‘wilds’
If you think you need to be an outdoor adventurer to discover edible treasures, Slow Food Oahu’s foraging tour Sunday will prove you wrong.
Nat Bletter of Madre Chocolate will lead the way, guiding participants through the "wilds" of urban Honolulu.
Foragers should wear sun protection and bring water, plus a fork and spoon to sample goodies and bags for collecting.
The tour will run 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Cost is $15. Participants will be informed of the exact meeting location Friday.
