Inmates missing after furlough are arrested
Two missing work furlough inmates were arrested Thursday, the state Department of Public Safety said.
Ikaika Nixon was returned to Oahu Community Correctional Center on Friday after he was arrested at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
Nixon left OCCC at 12:20 p.m. April 8 on a job-seeking pass and failed to return. Nixon, serving time for robbery, has a parole hearing in June.
The second missing work furlough inmate, Sean Johnson, was arrested at about 6:15 p.m. Thursday. He remains in police custody.
Johnson left at 1:30 p.m. Monday to go to work, and is serving time for theft. His next parole hearing is scheduled for July.
