Neal Nakasone hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning to cap a three-run rally and enable the ILH champion Maryknoll Spartans to beat Kapolei 6-5 in a quarterfinal of the Wally Yonamine Foundation/HHSAA Division II tournament at Hans L’Orange Park on Thursday.
Maryknoll (14-2) trailed 5-3 in the seventh and was down to its final two outs when Cade Ohata drew a walk and Shane Himeda singled to put the tying runs on base.
Jarin Kobashigawa drew a walk and Trevor Hirano was also walked to force in a run. After a wild pitch tied the game at 5-5, Nakasone delivered the winning hit.
Spartans starter Joshua Muneno earned the complete game win and also tripled and drove in two runs.
Catcher Mykah Kuratani went 4-for-4 with a double and drove in two runs for the Hurricanes (9-4).

Kobey Dias and Keala Iwasaki each had two hits in a 10-run fourth inning as the Red Raiders demolished the Wildcats 14-1.
Dias batted 3-for-3 and scored three runs. Iwasaki, Aaron Renaud, Shane Ogata and Patrick Esteban each had two hits for Kauai.

Malu Peralta allowed one run over 6 2/3 innings and Dallas Duarte hit a two-run single in the fourth inning to lead the Warriors (13-1) into the Division II semifinals for the fourth straight year.
Kobi Candaroma, who signed to play at Hawaii next year, went 2-for-3 and scored a run.
Codi-Jase Kamakana went 2-for-3 with an RBI for Molokai (11-1).
