University of Hawaii senior Leisha Li‘ili‘i earned the season’s final Big West softball Field Player of the Week award on Monday after hitting .778 in her farewell series with the Rainbow Wahine.
Li‘ili‘i went 7-for-9 with a double and two home runs and drove in seven of UH’s 30 runs in a three-game sweep of UC Davis. She homered in both games of Friday’s doubleheader to raise her career total to 49, finishing third in the program’s history. Her 155 RBIs also ranks third on UH’s career list.
She closed the season as UH’s second-leading hitter at .325 and topped the lineup with 11 home runs and 37 runs batted in. She hit a team-best .400 with five homers and 16 RBIs in Big West play for the Wahine (32-22, 13-8).
