Telephone service to 100 in Moiliili may be restored within a week
Telephone service to about 100 Hawaiian Telcom land-line customers in Moiliili near ‘Iolani School is expected to be restored within a week, the company said Wednesday.
Cable that got soaked from rainwater is being blamed for the outage that was first reported Friday, said Su Shin, Hawaiian Telcom spokesperson.
Crews worked over the weekend and are continuing to replace a section of cable with 2,400 wires, she said.
