Prosecutors charged a 29-year-old Kapahulu man Friday with manslaughter in the death of a 35-year-old man who died Sunday after being in a coma for more than two weeks.

Moses Henry was arrested Thursday morning on suspicion of second degree murder in connection with the beating death of Anthony Corpuz.

However, that charge was reduced to manslaughter. His bail was set at $50,000.

The city Medical Examiner’s Office said Corpuz died of cranial injuries caused by blunt force injuries to his head.

Corpuz was allegedly beaten May 3 near Club Cleopatra, 1095 Dillingham Blvd.

Paramedics took Corpuz to a hospital in critical condition following the assault at 4:20 a.m.
