The overflow started at 9:30 a.m. and was stopped by 9:45 a.m.
Wastewater flowed from the building to the adjacent grassy area at the facility and was contained within the treatment plant property, according to the release.
The plant’s crew cleaned and disinfected the area. The spill did not reach any waterways and no beach closures are required.
