One of two lanes leading out of Waikiki on Kapahulu Avenue are expected to remain closed for much of Thursday as Board of Water Supply crews repair a leaky valve.

The lanes are closed between Campbell Avenue and Hoolulu Street.

The Board of Water Supply said motorists should expect traffic slow-downs and use alternate routes if possible.

A paving contractor working in the area reported the leak Thursday morning.
