Fire damaged a second-story unit of a Makiki apartment building late Friday afternoon.
Honolulu firefighters responded to the two-alarm fire call about 5:25 p.m. at the 1500 block of Liholiho Street.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the fire started in an air conditioning unit.
Residents of the eight-unit apartment were evacuated while firefighters extinguished the fire.
No injuries were reported.
