Man killed in skateboarding accident identified

    Honolulu police investigate a hit-and-run incident that left a man riding a skateboard in critical condition in Ewa Beach early Tuesday morning.

The medical examiner identified a 43-year-old man who died Wednesday after a skateboard accident as David Pantohan, of Ewa Beach.

The cause of Pantohan’s death is pending the outcome of tests.

Paramedics took Pantohan to the Queen’s Medical Center in critical condition following a motor vehicle accident on Ala Loa Street in Ewa Beach at 12:38 a.m. Tuesday. He died the following day.

Witnesses said Pantohan was seen skateboarding in the area before the crash.
