Pepperdine golfer and ‘Iolani alum Marissa Chow was named to the Golfweek All-American third team announced Thursday. She was also named honorable mention from the Women’s Golf Coaches Association.
Chow earned All-American honors for the second consecutive year as she completed her junior season with a 73.04 stroke average for the No. 25 Waves. She currently ranks second in program history with a 73.36 career scoring average.
Downing steps down at Kamehameha
Kainoa Downing stepped down as the Kamehameha boys volleyball coach on Friday.
Downing spent five years at the helm of the program, taking the Warriors to the state tournament each year and winning it all in 2011. Kamehameha made it to the state semifinals this year before losing to Moanalua.
