Grammy Award-winning superstar Janet Jackson will bring her Unbreakable World Tour to Honolulu with a performance Nov. 12 at the Blaisdell Arena, according to Live Nation and Bamp Project, which announced the tour Monday.

Tickets for Hawaii residents only will be available from 10 a.m. Friday to 10 p.m. Sunday. Purchasers must have proof of a Hawaii residential ZIP code through their credit card. In-person purchases at the Blaisdell box office might require a Hawaii ID, but that is not always necessary, said promoter Flash Hansen. Tickets for the general public will go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday.

Ticket outlets include Janet Jackson.com, BampProject.com, Ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster outlets — including the Blaisdell box office — and Walmart stores on Oahu, Maui, Kauai and Hawaii island. You can also charge by phone at 800-745-3000 or 866-448-7849.

Tickets for the 8 p.m. show range from $20 to $175.

The 49-year-old Jackson, who has sold more than 160 million records, has won six Grammy Awards, two Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award and received an Academy Award nomination.

Jackson’s new album — her first in seven years — will be released this fall. Her last studio album was 2008’s “Discipline.” Jackson’s catalog of hits dates back to the mid-1980s and includes such songs as “What Have You Done for Me Lately,” “That’s the Way Love Goes” and “All for You.”

Jackson has performed twice before in Hawaii, both times at Aloha Stadium, in 1999 and 2002.
