The northbound lanes of the H-2 freeway are reopened after a motorcycle accident early Saturday morning that left a Mililani man critically injured.

The crash happened around 1:40 a.m. just before the Mililani Mauka offramp on the H-2.

The motorcyclist, a Mililani man, lost control of his bike for unknown reasons and was ejected onto the roadway, police said.

Police believe speed was a factor in the crash. It’s unknown if alcohol was a factor.

The roads were wet and the man was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, police said.

The man was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

Police closed the northbound lanes of the freeway for about three hours to investigate.
