A motorcyclist was in critical condition Saturday after he lost control in the northbound lanes of the H-2 freeway.
The crash happened around 1:40 a.m. just before the Mililani Mauka offramp on the H-2.
The motorcyclist, a Mililani man, lost control of his bike and was ejected onto the roadway, police said.
Police believe excessive speed was a factor in the crash. It’s unknown if alcohol was a factor.
The roads were wet and the man was not wearing a helmet, police said.
The man was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Police closed the northbound lanes of the freeway for about three hours to investigate.
Head-on collision sends 2 to hospital
Two people were injured in a head-on collision on Kaukonahua Road near Wahiawa on Friday afternoon.
The 63-year-old male driver of one of the vehicles sustained serious injuries and was transported to a trauma center, according to an Emergency Medical Services report.
The other driver, a 70-year-old woman, was also injured and was transported in stable condition to a trauma center.
The collision occurred about 3:30 p.m. near Kamananui Road.
Woman pulled out of Nuuanu Stream
A woman was in critical condition Friday evening after an apparent near-drowning incident in Nuuanu Stream near River Street.
The woman was retrieved from the water about 8:30 p.m.
She was transported by paramedics to a trauma center.
No further details were available.
