Medical examiner identifies victims in ocean accidents

The medical examiner identified a man and a woman sho were found in separate water accidents in Waikiki and Ewa Beach.

Lourdes Hale, 83, of Waipahu, died Saturday in a hospital where she was taken after getting into trouble waters off Ewa Beach Friday. An autopsy revealed the cause of death was due to a heart condition, diabetes and asthma.

The cause of death is still pending test results for Ralph Savoi, 54, of Whittier, Calif., who was found in waters near Tonggs surf break Monday afternoon. Surfers brought him to shore near Kaimana Beach, where he was pronounced dead.
