A 64-year-old McCully man is in custody after he allegedly punched another man and then tried to run down a security guard while attempting to flee from a Keeaumoku street parking lot.
Police said the incident occurred at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday when the suspect allegedly punched a 33-year-old man during an argument. The suspect then allegedly tried to hit a 60-year-old security guard who stood in front of the car during his get away.
The suspect was later located at his Date Street home and arrested on suspicion of second-and third-degree assault.
