The parents of a 6-year-old girl were arrested Monday after they assaulted their daughter with an object in Barbers Point, bruising the girl’s arm and leg, police said.
The incident allegedly happened about 7 a.m. Sunday, and both parents were arrested for investigation of abuse without incident about 11:15 a.m. Monday.
The parents, a 32-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman, were later charged with misdemeanor abuse of a family member.
