New menu at Mavro: Chef Mavro has introduced a summer menu, offered through mid-September. Tea & Baker Faire: MW Restaurant is holding a benefit for Les Dames d’Escoffier, an organization dedicated to promoting women in the culinary professions, from 10 a.m. to noon Sunday. Pick up a Lilikoi Chiffon Pie, Hawaiian Vanilla Bean Shortbread and other delectables at this casual grab-and-go event. Scrips, from $3 to $6, will be sold at the door. Also on sale will be products from the Dames themselves, including bags of fresh nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves from Leslie Hill of Wailea Agricultural Group; jars of Big Island organic honey from Whendi Grad of Big Island Bees; homemade jams from Aletha Thomas of Monkeypod Jams; gourmet Hawaiian nougat from Liz Anderson of Hawaiian Nougat Co.; and hand-crafted pies from Kathy Masunaga of Sweet Revenge. Get your Vino fix: d.k Steak House is holding A Taste of Vino for those who’ve been missing the cooking of chef Keith Endo since the wine bar closed in May. Preview Endo’s new creations at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Master Sommelier Chuck Furuya will lead the wine pairings. The menu includes an amuse bouche of Seared Beef “Carpaccio,” Ricotta Cheese Uovo with grilled Kauai prawns, Chilled Watermelon Gazpacho, Braised Big Island Beef Shanks, Chocolate Hazelnut Chiffon Cake and coffee or tea.

For non-meat eaters: The International Vegan Dinner Club is holding a summer barbecue from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Coffeeline, inside the Atherton YMCA, 1810 University Ave.
Enjoy barbecue tofu kabobs, Kahuku corn on the cob, potato salad, green salad, baked beans, watermelon and ginger mint lemonade for $15. Children ages 8 to 12 pay $5 and keiki 7 and younger are free.
