No tsunami threat from 7.0 Indonesia earthquake

    This map shows the location of an earthquake that struck Papua, Indonesia Monday.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said there is no danger of a Pacific-wide  tsunami from a 7.0 earthquake that struck Indonesia Monday.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake struck at about 11:41 a.m. Hawaii time,  6:51 a.m. Tuesday in Papua, Indonesia. It was centered about 145 miles west of Abepura, Indonesia and 221 miles east-northeast of Nabire, Indonesia at  a depth of about 32 miles.
