The Coast Guard rescued three people and a dog Sunday from a life raft off Oahu’s North Shore.
The Coast Guard Honolulu Command Center received a call at 12:44 p.m. from the 70-foot catamaran Brandi Anne, reporting the vessel was rapidly taking on water. An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Barbers Point and a 45-foot response boat from Honolulu Harbor were dispatched.
The captain later reported they were abandoning the vessel and climbing into a life raft. The Dolphin crew hoisted the three people and their dog safely aboard before returning to Barbers Point.
