A 54-year-old Honolulu Police Department officer was arrested Thursday on investigation of multiple drug offenses during a police raid at a McCully home.
Also arrested was the officer’s girlfriend, a 28-year-old woman, also for multiple alleged drug offenses, police said.
The incident marked the second time the officer had been arrested within the past month. In July he was arrested for investigation of abuse, but prosecutors declined the case.
A prosecutor’s office spokesman said prosecutors reviewed the case recently and declined it again.
The officer, who had not been charged by Thursday afternoon, is a 10-year HPD veteran, an police spokeswoman said.
She said the officer was already on restricted duty because of the earlier incident.
An administrative investigation also has been opened.

Homeless man indicted in sex assault
An Oahu grand jury on Wednesday indicted a 29-year-old homeless man for allegedly sexually assaulting a homeless woman who was sleeping in a neighboring tent at the Kakaako encampment near the Hawaii Children’s Discovery Center.
M.J. “Jain” Marew is charged with second-degree sex assault, first-degree terroristic threatening and first-degree burglary. His bail was set at $25,000.
A 21-year-old woman alleges she was sleeping in her tent with her 3-year-old child in her arms Aug. 1 when Marew assaulted her, according to court documents.
Marew also allegedly threatened the victim’s mother with a spear when she tried to intervene, the documents say.

3 men pulled from surf spot
Three surfers at the popular Honolii surf spot just north of Hilo had to be rescued Thursday after they ran into trouble.
The three male surfers were struggling with strong flows from Honolii Stream shortly before 3:30 p.m.
“The water conditions weren’t the best,” said Hawaii County Fire Department Battalion Chief Jerry Lum. “They had the river current and rough seas.”
Lum said lifeguards from Honolii used boards to paddle out to the surfers, and a Fire Department helicopter was dispatched to lift them from the water.
The lifeguards then paddled back to shore with the surfers’ boards, Lum said. There were no injuries, and ages for the surfers were unavailable, he said.

The victim was taken to Wilcox Hospital in stable condition. The driver of the truck, age 41, of Koloa, was not injured.
No arrests have been made but police are continuing to investigate.
Hardy Street was closed from about 10:45 to 11:30 a.m.
