Kalihi man charged after threatening taxi driver with weapon
A 22-year-old Kalihi man has been charged with forcing a taxi driver to drive him around the Pearl City area.
Jason Lewis was charged Friday night with kidnapping, terroristic threatening, reckless endangering, and a firearm charge.
His bail was set at $100,000.
Police said Lewis used a dangerous instrument to force a 56-year-old man to drive him around Pearl City about 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
Police said the incident involved a taxi. Police were called and the vehicle was stopped, then officers arrested Lewis on Akepa Street at 8:42 a.m.
