Junior hitter Nikki Taylor put down a career-high 25 kills and senior middle Olivia Magill added 17 as No. 18 Hawaii defeated Wichita State Saturday night 24-26, 25-20, 25-20, 25-19 in the Chevron Invitational at the Stan Sheriff Center.

The Rainbow Wahine (2-0) play Oregon State (1-1) in Sunday’s tournament finale. Hawaii is going for its ninth championship in this event.

In Saturday’s first match, the Beavers defeated Idaho, 25-10, 25-19, 25-19. The Vandals fell to 0-2 . 

Abbie Lehman led the Shockers (1-1) with 17 kills.
