No. 18 Hawaii sweeps Oregon to go 3-0

Junior hitter Nikki Taylor put down 15 kills en route to Most Outstanding Player honors as No. 18 Hawaii swept Oregon State Sunday afternoon 25-20, 25019, 25-11 and win the Chevron Invitational at the Stan Sheriff Center.

 It was the first time the Rainbow Wahine (3-0) defeated a Pac-12 team since Arizona in 2013, going 0-4 last season. Hawaii opens the season 3-0 for the first time since 2012.

Also named to the all-tournament team were Hawaii senior middle Olivia Magill and junior setter Tayler Higgins; Mary-Kate Marshall of Oregon State; Abbie Lehman and Dani Mostrom of Wichita State and Becca Mau from Idaho.

Wichita State (2-1) finished second, Oregon State (1-2) third and Idaho (0-3) fourth.
