The kids are back in school, and the University of Hawaii Warriors played (and won!) their first game of the 2015 season, so can the rush of fall craft fairs be far behind?
Many look forward to the popular events as an opportunity to shop early for crafty gifts, local-style apparel and one-of-a-kind home decor for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas while scooping up homemade jams and baked goods to snack on or send to mainland ohana.
To help our readers map out their forays, the Today section will publish its annual Fall Craft Fair Guide on Sunday, listing events happening through Nov. 30. (A separate Holiday Craft Fair Guide will be published Nov. 16, date subject to change.)
Crafters, schools, nonprofit organizations, churches and other groups have until the extended deadline of Thursday to submit a free listing to be included in the Fall Craft Fair Guide. Just email details about your event — date, time, location, sponsor, description of event, contact information — to calendars@staradvertiser.com.
The deadline for submitting a listing for the Holiday Craft Fair Guide is Nov. 11. (If your event is included in the fall guide, you do not need to resubmit a listing for the holiday guide.)
