Honolulu’s Tri Bourne teamed with John Hyden to win the AVP Kingston Cincinnati Open on Sunday.
At 42 years, 11 months, Hyden became the second-oldest winner in AVP Kingston beach volleyball tour history. The fourth-seeded Bourne and Hyden beat Jake Gibb and Casey Patterson 21-15, 21-18 in the final, a day after knocking off the two-time defending champions in the quarterfinals. Hyden has 10 career titles and Bourne has won twice.
