Windward Mall celebrates National Grandparents Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday with keiki craft sessions courtesy of Sanrio, and a free 5-by-7-inch photo of grandparents and grandchildren from Expression Portrait Design. Events will take place in the mall’s Center Court.
The mall will also host a toiletry donation drive for Salvation Army Hawai’i to benefit seniors in need. Items requested include full- and travel-size shampoos, soap, body wash, shaving lotion and other personal care products.

Pearlridge plans nights for gals
Each Wednesday in September is a Girls’ Night Out at Pearlridge Center.
Through Sept. 30 there will be trunk shows, promotional events, entertainment, product sampling, demos and giveaways from 5 to 9 p.m.
At the Uptown and Downtown center courts, women can spin "The Wheel of Glam" for prizes such as gift certificates and products from merchants including T&C Surf, Razor, Sephora, Down to Earth, Cookie Corner and L’Mour Nail & Beauty Salon.

Charitable mission drives fashion event
Moms on a Mission Hawaii, which teaches families to make healthier and safer choices, is hosting All That Glitters, a charity event to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hawaii.
The event, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the Royal Hawaiian hotel, honors designers Danene Lunn of Manuhealii, Nola and Linda Nahulu of Bete Muu, and Kini Zamora of Kini Zamora Designs. Each will present a fashion show and pop-up shop.
More than 20 artists and designers will have items for sale. Sandra Sagisi Moser and Ashley Moser emcee.

Neiman Marcus to preview fall makeup, skin care trends
The approach of fall means the events introducing new season offerings are stacking up. Neiman Marcus is hosting Project Beauty beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, with a runway presentation on top skin care, fragrance and cosmetics lines, hosted by Grace Lee of "Sunrise" on Hawaii News Now.
