The Division of State Parks closed the Aiea Loop Trail on Tuesday due to a rockfall and landslide located a mile from the trailhead. 

This is at the uppermost point in Keaiwa Heiau State Recreational Area, which remained open, except for the loop trail. 

The State Parks Division will consult with a geologist to assess the area and determine what further action needs to be taken and how long it should remain closed.
