Critical pedestrian accident closes Kamehameha Highway near Helemano
Police closed Kamehameha Highway in both directions Saturday night to investigate a critical pedestrian crash near Helemano Military Reservation.
A man was walking when he was hit by a vehicle about 6:40 p.m. near Paalaa Uka Pupukea Road, police said.
The female driver also was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
Police said the highway is closed between Kamananui Road and Joseph P. Leong Highway.
