Pearl City’s Danielle Tanabe repeated as the Oahu Interscholastic Association air riflery girls individual champion on Saturday.
Tanabe scored 537.11 to get nudge past teammate Jennifer Loui (534.17) and Madison Hataishi (518.15), the second- and third-place finishers. As a team, the Chargers girls won the championship final for the fifth straight year with a 2,096.5 to 1,961.23 victory over Kalani.
On the boys side, Matthew Pak placed second individually and shot a 518.07 to lead Moanalua past Pearl City, 2,000.29 to 1985.22, for its first team title since the league debuted the sport in 1995.
By compiling a 518.11, Waianae’s Joel Endo captured the boys individual championship by four-hundredths of a point over Pak.
Mackenzie Tokuda (506.08) and Justin Enoki (500.08) were also instrumental in Na Menehune’s team title.
With a 515.08, Pearl City’s Robert Williams earned third place in the boys standings behind Endo and Pak.
