Police reopened all eastbound lanes of the H-1 freeway around 8 a.m. after several problems confronted Leeward Oahu commuters during rush hour.

At 6:30 a.m., police closed two lanes on the H-1 freeway in the eastbound direction at the Waipahu and Pearl City offramps due to a sand spill. Authorities opened the HOV and Zipper Lane to all drivers to help ease the congestion.

At 7 a.m., a vehicle fire on the Hickam offramp also affected traffic.

No injuries have been reported.
