Flood advisory issued for Oahu
The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for Oahu until 12:15 a.m. Sunday.
At 9:11 p.m., radar indicated heavy rain over the eastern part of the island, mainly east of the airport.
The weather service said rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches are possible, leading to ponding on roads and highways and minor flooding.
Affected locations include Hawaii Kai, Kaneohe, Kaaawa, Makakilo and Wahiawa.
Forecasters also issued a high surf advisory for the south-facing shores of all islands until 6 a.m. Sunday. Surf of 6 to 9 feet is expected.
