Police want to question man in Halloween assault case in Hilo

    Police are looking for Kallen Imade

Police are searching for a 31-year-old man for questioning in connection with an assault that left a 49-year-old man with critical head injuries on Halloween. 

According to police, the victim was found unconscious in a parking lot on Hema Street in Hilo. Witnesses said the man had been fighting with another man, who had left the area prior to the arrival of police. 

Police are looking for Kallen Imade, whose last known address was in Mountain View. He is described as 5-foot-6, 155 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. 

Anyone with information on Imade’s whereabouts is asked to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 or contact Detective Grant Todd at 961-2385 or grant.todd@hawaiicounty.gov. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide CrimeStoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
