Because of extensive damage caused by a warehouse fire in Mapunapuna on Oct. 27, fire investigators said they could not determine the exact origin of the fire or the manner in which it began.
Honolulu Fire Department investigators classified the fire at ABC Supply Co. as “undetermined” Tuesday.
The three-alarm fire caused an estimated $5.45 million in damage to ABC’s warehouses, which were filled with building materials, eight forklifts and three boom trucks, and $50,000 to neighboring structures.
A fire investigator reported the blaze began in or near one of two warehouses, fire Capt. David Jenkins said in an email. But the “undetermined” classification indicates there is insufficient information to identify any one cause.
Teenager charged with attempted murder
Prosecutors charged a 13-year-old old boy with second-degree attempted murder after he allegedly stabbed another 13-year-old boy in the chest Sunday during an argument at a Kalihi public housing apartment.
The matter will be handled by Family Court.
The stabbing occurred in the suspect’s apartment at McNeill and Kaiwiula streets in the Kaahumanu Homes complex.
