Man arrested for allegedly injuring officer is released pending investigation
A 21-year-old Waialae-Kahala man in custody for allegedly injuring an officer with a vehicle during a traffic stop in Waikiki was released Thursday pending investigation.
Police said the man sped away from a traffic stop about 1:30 a.m. Nov. 1, causing injury to a 37-year-old officer.
The officer was treated for his injuries at a hospital and released.
Police arrested the suspect about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday for investigation of first-degree attempted murder.
