High surf advisory in effect for east shores through Tuesday night
A high-surf advisory remains in effect through 6 p.m. Tuesday for the east shores of all islands.
The National Weather Service on Sunday cancelled a high-surf advisory for southern shores.
Surf of 6 to 9 feet expected, thanks to an east swell and strong tradewinds, the weather service said.
The agency said there will be strong breaking waves and longshore and rip currents that will make swimming difficult and dangerous.
