No. 7 Hawaii rallies past UC Davis for 18th straight

Junior hitter Nikki Taylor put down a match-high 21 kills and No. 7 Hawaii won its 18th in a row, rallying past UC Davis 23-25, 25-17, 25-22, 25-17 in a Big West volleyball match Sunday afternoon in Davis, Calif.

Senior hitter Tai Manu-Olevao added 11 kills and turned in her third double-double of the season with a season-high 14 digs for the Wahine (23-1, 13-0 Big West). Senior middle Olivia Magill had 10 kills and was in on six of the team’s 10 blocks as Hawaii clinched at least a share of the conference title.

The Wahine close out the regular season on the road with three matches. Next up is Tuesday’s match at UC Irvine (12-13, 6-7). 

Kaitlyn Squyres, the conference kill leader, led the Aggies with 19 kills. Libero Malia Bolko finished with a match-high 23 digs for UC Davis (8-6, 13-15).
